PREVIEW: UNITED RESERVES V SWANSEA CITY
Manchester United Reserves are back in Premier League 2 action against Swansea City on Monday evening, live on MUTV, and a couple of first-team stars are set to be involved.
Reds boss Jose Mourinho confirmed on Friday that Luke Shaw and Ashley Young will make their comeback from injury by playing some part in the televised game at Leigh Sports Village, with kick-off at 19:00 BST.
The Reserves made the ideal start to their 2017/18 campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Leicester Citylast week. Demi Mitchell, who was part of the first-team squad on Tour 2017, presented by Aon, scored a delightful free-kick in the second half to give new boss Ricky Sbragia a winning start.
The team will be hoping to continue the momentum with another victory in their first home game of the new season against a Swansea side looking for their first goal and point after opening with a 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool.
After facing the Swans, the young Reds will then travel to Tottenham Hotspur for a Friday night clash at The Lamex Stadium, home of League Two outfit Stevenage, which will also be screened live on MUTV on 25 August.
