KEANE: RUUD WOULD BE WORTH A BILLION TODAY

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has sparked debate this week by claiming his former Reds team-mate Ruud van Nistelrooy would be worth up to £1billion in the current transfer market.
Van Nistelrooy scored 150 goals in 219 appearances over five seasons and will return to Old Trafford on Saturday, for the Legends Are Back match against a Barcelona XI in aid of the MU Foundation.
Speaking at a Republic of Ireland press conference on Tuesday, the assistant manager to Martin O’Neill answered questions about this summer’s rates and put prices on the heads of three United heroes, before modestly claiming he would only be worth the fee we paid Nottingham Forest for his services in 1993.
“Ruud would certainly be worth now, with the market, probably a billion pounds!” Roy told reporters. “David Beckham? A billion! Giggsy? Two billion! Roy Keane? Three point seven five million I think.”
WHO'D BE WORTH THE MOST?
Keane’s comments got us wondering which of those four players would be worth the most in today’s transfer market – so we opened a Twitter poll via @ManUtd to gather your opinion.
Over 28,000 votes were cast in two hours and the result was incredibly close, with Ryan Giggs emerging as the winner with 32 per cent - which was just one per cent more than second-placed David Beckham.
Van Nistelrooy finished third in the poll with 22 per cent of votes and Keane was fourth on 14 per cent.
Regardless of the results, we still feel all four are absolutely priceless!
