Manchester United recorded their first victory of pre-season on Saturday afternoon, beating Rangers 2-0 at Murrayfield Stadium.

Amad netted the opening goal of the game shortly before half-time, bending home a terrific left-footed effort from inside the penalty area. Joe Hugill, who was one of 10 players were introduced by Erik ten Hag at half-time, scored United's second goal in the second half, crashing home a brilliant effort off the underside of the bar.

United's first half performance was much better than what they served up after the break, but that was no surprise considering Ten Hag made a plethora of changes at the break. However, the youngsters who stepped off the bench at the break stood firm to help the Reds seal a clean sheet.

Amad was United's best player, causing plenty of problems from his former loan club in the first half, while Leny Yoro impressed on his debut. Jadon Sancho stored 45 minutes under his belt in the first half.
