Manchester United's 10 most valuable players as Antony's worth plummets
Antony has struggled to make an impact at Manchester United this season, and his market value has taken a hit as a result, with the Brazilian now worth less than half his transfer fee
Manchester United's Antony is now worth £55million less than when he signed in an £80m deal, new figures show. Antony followed manager Erik ten Hag to Manchester in the summer of 2022 and despite some good moments in his first season, he has not scored or assisted a goal this season.
Transfermarkt's figures show Antony's market value is just 35m (£30m), about £55m less than what was paid to Ajax. This puts him in eighth place among United's most valuable players, tied with right-back Diogo Dalot.
Ten Hag has defended Antony in recent weeks, saying: "Of course, when the price is high, the expectations will rise even more. But - and I have said this previously - this is the best club you can want to play for. This is the best challenge you want and I would go for that challenge if I was a player and had a choice to make."

In tenth place, we have a tie between the pricey signing Casemiro and young talent Alejandro Garnacho, both valued at £25.8m. It's hoped Garnacho's value will only go up as he becomes a regular part of the senior team.
Luke Shaw (£32.6m) takes seventh place, which is slightly more than what United paid for him from Southampton in 2014. Above him are summer signings Andre Onana (£34.3m) and Mason Mount (£38.7m), who both cost a bit more than their estimated values.
Just missing out on the top three is another Ten Hag signing, Lisandro Martinez. His £43m valuation matches what was paid to Ajax, and United have felt his absence during his injury.
Rasmus Hojlund (£55.8m) is in third place. The summer signing didn't score his first Premier League goal until December, but his performances in the Champions League gave fans hope after his £72m move from Atalanta.
Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford share the top spot for Manchester United's most valuable players at £60.1m each.
"I think all the signings are top players," Ten Hag shared his thoughts when asked about his record. "What we have to do now is find a way to perform as a team and then we will judge them very differently. We have to understand and acknowledge we have to do it together. We have to be on the same page, in the same boat."
Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are the two most highly valued players for Manchester United, both worth about £60.1m each, according to Transfermarkt. Fernandes has seen his value increase since his signing to United while Rashford, who came up through United's youth academy, had a great season last year despite struggling this term.
The top 10 Man Utd players by value, according to Transfermarkt, are:
- Bruno Fernandes (£60.1m)
- Marcus Rashford (£60.1m)
- Rasmus Hojlund (£55.8m)
- Lisandro Martinez (£43m)
