Man United drew with Tottenham in their only Premier League match of the month at Old Trafford and here are how the players rated.

Manchester United player ratings vs Tottenham as Rasmus Hojlund good and Christian Eriksen poor

Andre Onana: So rooted to his line for Richarlison's header he could have been mistaken for David de Gea and he did not stand up to Rodrigo Bentancur's hit. 4

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Oddly switched to left-back for the first time in his United career. Lost Richarlison at the corner and got booked. 5

Raphael Varane: Had his work cut out against the running of Richarlison and had to resort to basic defending at times. 6

Jonny Evans: Overwhelmed at times and his invitation to Bentancur to score was inexplicable. Came off with an apparent injury. 5

Diogo Dalot: Executed some committed tackles, nodded one goalbound effort off the line and intervened importantly on other occasions. 7

Kobbie Mainoo: One of his most testing games yet and he could not get a stranglehold even against a reserve Spurs midfield. Some skilful moments. 6

Christian Eriksen: His selection signalled the intent to play front-footed football but Eriksen contributed little and failed to track Bentancur. Came off before the hour. 4

Alejandro Garnacho: Dominated by Destiny Udogie in an engrossing duel. Garnacho had little joy against the Italy left-back. Kept going and should have assisted a late winner. 6

Bruno Fernandes: His hit-and-hopes opened up Spurs a few times in the first half. Endeavoured to try and regain the lead in the second half. 6

Marcus Rashford: Salvaged an erratic first half with a neat goal but his overall performance was again littered with familiar weaknesses. 6

Rasmus Hojlund: Opened the scoring with a smashing hit and carried himself with more confidence. Not serviced enough beyond his early strike. 7

Subs:

Scott McTominay: Missed a sitter. 5

Lisandro Martinez: An assured comeback. 6

Antony: Came on for Rashford amid some boos. 5

Manager:

Got it right with the personnel available but got it wrong with the reorganised back four and United were too porous at corners. 5
