Manchester United new signing Romelu Lukaku netted on Tuesday night to mark his competitive debut with a goal and become the 109th Red to do so.

JOSH HARROP
21.05.2017 v Crystal Palace

Harrop set United up for a 2-0 win on the final day of the 2016/17 campaign, as he fired home after latching onto Paul Pogba's through ball just 15 minutes into his senior debut.

The Stockport-born midfielder has since left Old Trafford in the search of more regular first-team football and, this season, he will ply his trade with Preston North End in the Championship.

07.08.2016 v Leicester City

Ibrahimovic announced himself on the United stage in typical fashion by netting the winner in the 2016 Community Shield, as the Reds claimed the trophy with a 2-1 win over then Premier League champions Leicester.

The Swedish maestro's campaign, in which he scored 28 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions, ended with a serious knee injury, sustained in the Europa League clash with Anderlecht.

25.02.2016 v FC Midtjylland

Rashford burst onto the scene with a sensational brace at Old Trafford as United hammered Mitjylland 5-1 in the Europa League Round of 32 second-leg.

He has since blossomed into a fine striker and, this season, he will hope to add to his current goal tally for the club, which stands at 19.

ANTHONY MARTIAL
12.09.2015 v Liverpool

The pacey Frenchman wrote himself into United folklore when he scored just minutes into his senior debut to hand his side a superb 3-1 win over Liverpool.

Martial’s goal tally for the club now stands at 25 after an impressive 2016/17 campaign, and he too will look to add to it in the upcoming season.

06.05.2014 v Hull City

Wilson’s debut double at Old Trafford against the Tigers helped the Reds to a 3-1 victory late in the 2013/14 season, during Ryan Giggs's caretaker stint in charge.

The 21-year-old has since made 20 first-team appearances for United, and he has scored two further goals, as well as enjoying loan spells at Brighton and Hove Albion and Derby County in the Championship.

ALEXANDER BUTTNER
15.09.2012 v Wigan Athletic

The Dutch full-back netted on his senior debut against Wigan by bursting through several challenges to find himself in the box and slotting home during a 4-0 win.

Buttner went on to register 28 appearances across all competitions for the Reds, before he left the club in the summer of 2014 to join Dinamo Moscow, and he currently plies his trade in his homeland with Vitesse Arnhem.

15.09.2012 v Wigan Athletic

Powell, like Buttner, was on debut against the Latics at Old Trafford, and he also marked his senior debut with a goal.

However, that memorable strike was to be his only goal for United, and a string of loan spells away from the club he eventually joined Wigan on a free transfer in the summer of 2016.

The prolific front-man nicknamed ‘Chicharito’ netted on his United bow way back in 2010, as he bundled home in the 3-1 Community Shield win over Chelsea.

The 96-time Mexico international went on to score 59 goals in 158 league and cup games for the Reds before leaving for German outfit Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. He'll be back at Old Trafford with West Ham on Sunday.

05.04.2009 v Aston Villa

Macheda’s first goal in a United shirt will always be remembered fondly by the Old Trafford faithful, as he curled in the winner in an enthralling 3-2 victory over the Villans.

The Italian forward later left for Cardiff in 2014 after scoring five goals in 36 appearances across all competitions in his five seasons with the Reds.

07.01.2007 v Aston Villa

Larsson arrived in Manchester on loan from Helsingborg in January 2007 and, after making his name as a prolific hit-man at Celtic and Barcelona, the Swede did not disappoint.

He made an immediate impact by scoring against Villa, before going on to net two further goals in his three-month spell at the club.
