UNITED TRAVEL TO DUBLIN TO FACE SAMPDORIA
The Manchester United first-team squad flew to Ireland on Wednesday morning for the final match of Tour 2017, presented by Aon, against Sampdoria at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Jose Mourinho’s third signing of the summer, Nemanja Matic, could make his unofficial debut for the club in front of 51,000 fans after the Serbia international completed his transfer from Chelsea this week and trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday.
United are looking to secure a sixth victory of the pre-season campaign following the previous wins over LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Valerenga. The only defeat of this preparation period came at the hands of FC Barcelona at the FedEx Field in Maryland last month.
Spanish midfielders Juan Mata and Ander Herrera both returned from injuries to play 45 minutes each in Norway at the weekend, and each player could improve on their fitness again in Ireland. David De Gea and Antonio Valencia have also travelled to Dublin, after missing the trip to Oslo.
Fans who subscribe to MUTV on Sky or Virgin Media, the club's MUTV app or online via mutv.com have access to watch all of the team's pre-season games live. You can see live build-up to the Sampdoria game from 18:45 BST, an hour before kick-off, ahead of watching the action itself.
