TALKING POINT: FREE-SCORING UNITED?

Manchester United made it back-to-back 4-0 wins at the start of the Premier League season by overwhelming Swansea City on Saturday.
After last weekend’s home defeat of West Ham United by the same scoreline, the Reds ruthlessly exploited the gaps in Swansea’s defence late in the game at the Liberty Stadium, with Eric Bailly, Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial all on target.
These two opening league victories are the biggest of Jose Mourinho’s managerial reign at United, so this week’s #MUTalkingPoint asks: are we going to see a more free-scoring Reds team this season?
Having made the point before the start of the season that the challenge for his side was to win more matches this term, whether that was by scoring more goals or conceding fewer, Mourinho also sounded a note of caution after Saturday’s triumph in South Wales.
“The team is confident and, in this moment, everything is going in our favour,” he said. “But it’s not always motorway. You always find difficult roads and we have to be ready.”
Some of the best fan responses on Twitter to our Talking Point are listed below, with some Reds excited to see the goals flowing and others not getting carried away – after all, we’re only two games into the campaign.
@Jmiragliotta89: Goals are free flowing and I love it. Finally putting teams to the sword.
@JamesPaulFerna1: Probably - but still too early - let's get to the big boys and tougher situations.
@_abbagana: Yes! It's already evident. We're far more clinical than we were last season, bring on the next game.
@Tiswas_Tony: Early days but playing well and winning in a system that is best for our players and it's back to entertaining, attacking football.
@Khovi_RedDevil: Hope so. Free flowing attacking football with goals goals goals... what we desire... Great start.
@ADungir: With a very sharp Lukaku + the goal-hungry midfielders + the defenders who often scored like Bailly, I think so.
@l33fox: Slow start to the game but excellent outcome lot more confident in front of goal. 2 games in, I'll start getting excited after xmas.
@Dam_horla_MUFC: Early days but playing well...the whole team ticking in the right places...we keep this up and we in for a massive season.
@RossWynne16: Another great performance but let’s not get carried away.
@mikecifliku: Absolutely, the signing of Matic frees everybody up to let them create more and play a more fluid football.
@ForeverUnited13: This whole team including manager are improving all the time, who knows how far they can go? Just take one game at a time and let’s enjoy it!
@jonpaulB26: I think we are already seeing a more free-scoring team. Full of confidence and allowed to play more freely.
@KesterBevin13: Better at counter attacking and can control a game...when we were drawing blanks, they dug in and the subs were great.
@JordyHensh07: We look like we are going to finish games so strongly, once we go one up, and teams open up to equalise, we're going to tear teams apart.
@swagattt: Still cautiously optimistic.
