MACEDONIA ADDS TO UNITED'S LIST
The Republic of Macedonia will become a new country where Manchester United have played a competitive fixture.
By our reckoning, the latest name on the historical list will make it 36 nations in total as the Reds head to Skopje to meet Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final at the Philip II Arena.
Our tally includes Monaco, as a Principality, while United are no strangers to the former Yugoslavia.
The club have played twice in Serbia, against Red Star Belgrade in 1958 and Partizan Belgrade in 1966, before meeting Sarajevo in Bosnia in the following year. Much later, in 1999, a solitary visit to Croatia ended in a 2-1 triumph for Sir Alex Ferguson's Treble winners over Croatia Zagreb.
