Manchester United started their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in style with a 4-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho handed Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku their home debuts, and both players impressed as the Serbian midfielder won the Reds' Man of the Match award, while the former Everton star bagged a brace.

Lukaku’s first goal of the game came after 33 minutes as he fired home after being played in by Marcus Rashford, and he netted his second in the 53rd minute, when he nodded home Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s free-kick.

Shortly after being brought into the fray, Anthony Martial coolly slotted past Joe Hart after being played through on goal by Mkhitaryan to make it 3-0 in the 87th minute.

Paul Pogba then furthered compounded West Ham’s misery as he fired into the bottom corner from the edge of the box in the 90th minute to make it 4-0, and hand Mourinho’s men a memorable opening day win.
