FULL-TIME UNITED 2 SAMPDORIA 1

GOODBYE FROM DUBLIN
So, from the United States to Oslo and now Dublin, it's on to Skopje, the Macedonian capital for the last match before the Premier League kicks off in earnest against West Ham. Thank you for joining us.
They always say results do not matter in pre-season but the Mata winner has certainly sent the fans home happy. It was a good work-out and, hopefully, no injuries ahead of next week's UEFA Super Cup final with Real Madrid.
FULL-TIME
FT: United 2 Sampdoria 1. Goals by Mkhitaryan and Mata earn United victory in the final match of Tour 2017 presented by Aon, despite Dennis Praet's second-half equaliser.
90+3: Valencia has one last foray down the right but he opts to keep possession and that's the end of things!
90+1: Tuanzebe has performed well since coming on but he has been pulled up for a foul. Joel Pereira is out bravely to avert any danger but picks up a knock from Kownacki for his troubles.
90: Three minutes of injury time will be played as United look to close out another victory.
SUBSTITUTIONS
88: Sampdoria have made a couple of late changes that we'll catch up with - Quagliarella is off for Kownacki, Capezzi is on for Torreira and, as suggested, Tozzo is also on and has made a real impression.
87: Substitute keeper Andrea Tozzo, who is on for Puggioni, has made a superb couple of saves to thwart Herrera's volley and Rashford's curler.
81: That was a fine goal from the Reds. Martial has looked menacing down the left since coming on and it was his pass which found Mata, who finished with aplomb.
GOAL - JUAN MATA
81: Martial is the architect and Juan Mata steers it home!
80: Martial does get away this time and produces a dangerous cross - Herrera gets his head to it but Puggioni grabs it at the second attempt.
79: Martial is caught offside, just over 10 minutes for either side to produce a winner.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Changes for United too as Joel Pereira is on for De Gea, Axel Tuanzabe for Darmian, Eric Bailly for Smalling and Phil Jones for Lindelof.
SUBSTITUTIONS
76: It's Djuricic on for Barreto, Verre for Praet, onazzoli on for Caprari and Bereszynski replacing Sala.
75: It's very noisy here but the action is happening in the stands rather than on the field. Sampdoria are making more changes...
LINDELOF KEEPS A CLOSE CHECK
YELLOW CARD
Lucas Torreira is cautioned for hauling down Herrera in full flight. A Mexican Wave is taking place around us!
THE BOSS WILL WANT A WINNER
70: Rashford is fouled as he makes a menacing run towards goal but Mata's free-kick is easy for Puggioni to field.
SUBSTITUTIONS
66: Sampdoria replace Daniel Pavlovic with Nicola Murru and change Linetty for Ricky Alvarez.
64: An equaliser had not really looked on the cards but a break down the left opened things up and the ball fell kindly for Praet, who made no mistake. Fellaini cannot reach a Martial chip as United look to respond.
GOAL - DENNIS PRAET
63: Sampdoria equalise when Smalling's clearance is too central and only tees up Belgian Dennis Praet for a clinical finish wide of De Gea.
62: Herrera has the ball in the net from Fellaini's pass and, although the offside decision is correct, it's greeted by loud jeers.
60: Jose switches to a flat back four with Valencia on the right and Darmian at left-back. Martial is on the left wing and Rashford the lone striker.
SUBSTITUTIONS
60: With an hour on the clock, Martial replaces Blind and Rashford is on for Lukaku. Both subs are given a rousing reception.
59: Fellaini does well on a couple of occasions but it's gone a little scrappy as Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford look set to come on to pep things up.
57: The flag is up against Lukaku as he races onto a Valencia through ball. It looked a harsh call and the supporters aren't happy with the decision.
56: Herrera finds Valencia and the skipper's pass is controlled by Mata. However, the ex-Chelsea man cannot keep the move going despite having two bites of the cherry.
THE FANS ARE HAPPY
54: Lindelof brings Karol Linetty down but the set-piece is completely wasted and De Gea has the ball in his clutches.
ROMELU STILL ROAMING
52: Some pretty patterns by Sampdoria but they've not really got anywhere. United are pressing well and keeping them at arm's length at the moment.
50: Blind thunders away a cross by Caprari as the Italians strive to find a route back into the game. Their fans are in good voice away to our left.
48: It's been a slower-paced start to the second half, possibly with the substitutions having an effect. However, we think Sampdoria have the same XI out there.
MATCH RESTARTS
46: It's basically the whole midfield that has been changed. Pereira, Matic, Mkhitaryan and Pogba have been replaced.
MATCH RESTARTS
46: As expected, there have been a raft of substitutions, we'll try to catch up with United's changes in particular. Juan Mata, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini are definitely all on.
HENRIKH ON THE MARK
HALF-TIME
HT: United 1 Sampdoria 0. Mkhitaryan's early goal is the difference between the two sides.
45+1: Pogba bends a wayward shot into the small end behind the goal defended by Puggioni. And that will be that for the first half.
45: We are into one minute of stoppage time as the skies begin to darken a little.
44: Lucas Torreira comes off worse in a collision with Matic, who takes no prisoners. He did show a softer side when checking a fan was okay when the ball hit her in the face earlier, though.
43: Pogba does well by displaying lovely balance but his simple pass to Lukaku finds the Belgium international in an offside position.
42: Quagliarella's cross looks pretty harmless until Lindelof makes a hash of his attempted clearance and it goes just wide. A nervous moment for the fans but it may not have been as close as it initially looked from our vantage point up in the stands.
39: Samp win a corner, which Gabriel Caprari takes but Pogba shows his value defensively by soaring to nod clear. Approaching half-time and United are still a goal to the good.
38: Regini slices a Pereira centre behind for a corner after the midfield prospect found space on the right. He has the ball in a similar area but his cross cannot pick out a red shirt.
36: Pogba and Valencia work another opening and the Ecuadorian's centre is met by Mkhitaryan's glancing header but the Armenian is unable to grab his second of the night.
35: Matic bites into a tackle to earn acclaim from the appreciative crowd. It's understandably a sea of red at the Aviva Stadium and they've enjoyed the action thus far.
34: Jacopo Sala fouls Darmian and it leads to another Valencia-inspired attack but Lukaku is crowded out inside the Samp area.
32: Puggioni leaps from his goal to divert a Pogba ball to safety. Valencia, who has been outstanding, then almost finds a way through as United continue to ask most of the questions.
JOSE LOOKS ON
MATIC MAKING HIS DEBUT
29: Pogba is penalised for a foul as he tries to make something of a Pereira cross. Moments earlier, Lukaku chose the wrong option in the box when hanging onto the ball for too long.
28: Pereira screws an attempt wide of Puggioni's goal but he has been bright and heavily involved in the centre of the field.
26: Pogba provided a flash of skill and extravagant pass out to Valencia but the move ended up breaking down. Still 1-0 to the Reds.
24: Lukaku latches onto a pass by Valencia down the right side and shows his confidence by cutting onto his left foot and bending a drive just wide. It looked like it might fly in.
22: A brilliant piece of skill by Valencia allows him to tear down the flank again and his cross is a good one. Mkhitaryan stoops to get his head to it and it's goalbound until Christian Puggioni dives to pull off a splendid save.
19: Chris Smalling concedes a foul in the centre circle on Quagliarella but he's soon taking a free-kick himself to get United moving down the right again.
15: Fabio Quagliarella scoops off target with a decent attempt. The Serie A side have been lively in the opening quarter of an hour but trail.
11: The goal was given to Mkhitaryan so we're sticking to that, he certainly tried to force it home. On close inspection, he gets his head to the ball first before it deflects home off a Samp boot.
9: Seconds after a very threatening situation at one end, United take the lead at the other. Darmian gets his cross away from the left and Mkhitaryan bravely meets the centre, after it goes over Lukaku's head, to force the ball home. There may be a suspicion of an own goal.
GOAL - HENRIKH MKHITARYAN
9: Mkhitaryan has put United in front following a lightning counter-attack sparked by skipper Valencia.
9: De Gea blocks the free-kick in a crowded goalmouth and Chris Smalling completes the clearance. United break at pace...
8: Blind makes a dangerous pass back to De Gea, who has to scramble to claw it away from goal. It's a fine save but an illegal one - free-kick to Sampdoria on the edge of the six-yard box.
7: Andreas Pereira is prominent in the opening exchanges and Victor Lindelof has shown quick feet to get out of tight situations on a couple of occasions. It's been a promising start by the Reds.
4: Daley Blind draws applause for some cool defending inside his own box and it sparks a United raid. Play is switched to Matteo Darmian but his pass inside is cut out.
2: As we anticipated, United are lining up with a 3-5-2 formation. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is playing forward behind Romelu Lukaku with Paul Pogba straying out to the left early on.
KICK-OFF
1: Sampdoria, in white, get us started in Dublin.

It's a nice view from up here in the press box...
OUT ON THE PITCH
The players are out on the pitch preparing for action - including debut-making Nemanja Matic.
"EASY WIN - 4-1"
We spoke to a couple of fans on the way in and it transpired one of them (below, middle) is the nephew (and barber) of former United defender Mal Donaghy. His namesake Ryan (right) has travelled from Belfast to be at tonight's game and is predicting a 4-1 win for the Reds.
INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM
Here's a shot of the United dressing room at the Aviva Stadium, moments before the players arrived earlier.
MATIC MAKES UNOFFICIAL DEBUT
United team to face Sampdoria: De Gea; Lindelof, Smalling, Blind; Valencia, Matic, A.Pereira, Pogba, Darmian; Mkhitaryan, Lukaku.
TEAM NEWS SOON
We'll be releasing Jose Mourinho's team selection in 15 minutes' time at 18:45 BST, an hour before we get under way. Will Nemanja Matic make his debut?
MUTV ARE PITCHSIDE
MUTV's David May, Quinton Fortune and Paddy Crerand await the players. Kevin Moran is also here working with the official club channel.

FANS CRAM OUTSIDE
UNITED ARE IN THE BUILDING
The team bus has just arrived at the ground as kick-off time gets nearer and nearer. A convoy followed the main vehicle, containing United dignitaries, here to enjoy the match.
DUO IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Quinton Fortune told us he's looking forward to seeing Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku star this evening. "But it isn't just individuals, of course. Pogba stands out for me but it's a team performance with people working together, having an understanding about defending and attacking at same time."
FORTUNE'S WISH LIST
Ex-Red Quinton Fortune has a wish list for tonight! "I hope for an injury-free game and everyone gets through it," he told us. "I want a lot of good play, good football and a few goals, plus a clean sheet! Just a good feeling for everyone at the game and another one under the players' belts in preparation for the Madrid match in the Super Cup."
MOURINHO MASTERPLAN
Romelu Lukaku told us Jose Mourinho has a masterplan for this season - it will be interesting to see which formation the United boss employs tonight.

FANS OUT IN FORCE
The number of supporters outside the ground, even this early into the night, was hugely impressive. The local Irish Reds are clearly out in force for this final match of Tour 2017, presented by Aon. One fan who never misses a game is Pete Bolton and we spoke to him earlier.
AT THE AVIVA!
We're at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, nice and early ahead of tonight's game (kick-off is 19:45 BST). Nonetheless, it took some time to get through the crowds with David May and Quinton Fortune getting plenty of attention.

REUNION FOR ROMERO
Tonight's game carries extra significance for Sergio Romero, who played for Sampdoria between 2011 and 2015. "It was four incredible years of my life and I left a lot of great friends there," the goalkeeper said, adding: "We know we have a lot of fans in Dublin and we hope to be able to give them a great match."
ONE EYE ON SUPER CUP
Jose Mourinho has deployed a variety of systems and personnel in United's six pre-season games so far, as he builds up to the first competitive game of 2017/18 - the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid in Skopje, Macedonia next Tuesday. Catch up with all the news from the US tour and last weekend's trip to Oslo at ManUtd.com/Tour.
FIRST OUTING FOR MATIC?
Fresh from completing his transfer to United on a three-year deal, Nemanja Matic has travelled to the Republic of Ireland with his new team-mates. The Serbian admitted to MUTV that he's not 100 per cent match-fit and we'll have to wait and see whether he's involved tonight.
HAVEN'T WE BEEN HERE BEFORE?
In August 2010, United took part in the first-ever football match at the newly opened Aviva Stadium, and Ji-sung Park scored the very first goal at the ground as the Reds beat a League of Ireland XI 7-1 in pre-season.
REDS IN DUBLIN
It's a sojourn over the Irish Sea for United to a country where we have always had a huge fanbase. Tickets for tonight's encounter against the Italian outfit sold out very quickly and it should be some atmosphere inside the 51,000-capacity Aviva Stadium.
